fifty years of tiger pride
On September 10, 2022, members of the Class of ’72 congregated at Garretts Restaurant and Bar in Rockford and celebrated, commemorated, and, well, got a little inebriated.
The decades melted away, and youthful faces emerged from behind the well-earned wrinkles, below the graying (or tinted or absent) hairlines, and above the creaky and time worn bodies. We saw in one another not just who we are, but as we once were — full of hope and dreams and possibilities. We reminisced, we caught up, we shared photos of our children and grandchildren. More than anything, we delighted in being together once again.
